Based on a developed program from our research and practice entitled The Recess Effect, this workshop will examine how teams emerge in organizations, the dynamics of inclusion or conflict within the teams, and how they can be addressed to increase productivity.

Why is team building important?

The need for effective teams has never been greater than it is today. As businesses become more globalized and increasingly complex, they must rely upon cross-functional teams to address strategy development, product design, customer service, marketing campaigns. In addition, companies have begun using virtual teams rather than face-to-face meetings because of cost savings.

However, while some people believe that working remotely in a virtual environment makes collaboration easier, there’s no denying that the lack of interpersonal contact between team members creates challenges.
